Paulette Hanson
General Manager

TODAY Magazine was the first publication of its kind distributed throughout southeast Minnesota. I am proud of what my team has accomplished through the years. The TODAY staff provides a monthly journal that connects family, neighbors and friends. I left a career in radio thirty-four years ago and developed P. Hanson Marketing, Inc. In addition to the magazine, I dedicate a great deal of time helping other businesses, (especially non-profits) with marketing, print product, posters and all forms of advertising material. In my free time, I enjoy my five grandchildren and traveling. I have a passion for finding stories that others may overlook.

Writer and Sales

As a cameraman for KMSP Television and broadcaster at KCUE in Red Wing, I have written stories for the TODAY Magazine since its inception. I have made many new friends and learned a great deal from farmers, veterans and so many others, learning about the joys and trials of life. I have been fortunate to interview several celebrities throughout the years, and learned they are much like you and I. In the past, I served as mayor of Cannon Fall for eight-and-a-half years. My five grandchildren keep me young. As a travel writer, I have experienced a lifetime of opportunities with my family.

Layout and Design

I am an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Stout where I received a bachelor's degree in art and design, with a concentration in graphic design. I have approximately seven years of professional graphic design experience and continue to learn about this ever-changing market each day.  Being able to help bring community members’ stories to life through layout and design is very fulfilling.

Meghann Winchell
Writer and Sales

I began my career at TODAY Magazine after graduating college in 2006. Over the past fourteen years I've had the opportunity to interview amazing people as a staff writer. I enjoy telling the stories of those I meet, especially elder individuals who share a wealth of knowledge.

In recent years, I have added advertising sales to my job title, which offers me a chance to be creative.

When not busy at work, I am with my four young children. They keep me on my toes, but I would not want it any other way. I also enjoy traveling, sampling new restaurants and spending time outdoors.

Lois Wipperling
Copy Assistant and Feature Writer

After graduating Goodhue High School, I worked in the office of Red Wing Shoe until my marriage to Airman Forest Wipperling. We spent the next three years in Paris, France. Upon returning home, my four children consumed my life until I began working as a nutrition assistant for Goodhue County Extension Service. I was employed with extension for fifteen years. During that time I also enrolled in a two-year program with Inver Hills where I focused on psychology and writing classes.
My next endeavor was becoming a guardian ad litem for Goodhue County Family Court. The University of Minnesota provided training for this position. During that time, I also attended and graduated from Erickson Mediation in advanced family court mediation. I worked as a family court custody investigator and parenting time expeditor for fifteen years. I retired from family court in 2008. For the past twelve years I have been a proofreader and writer for TODAY Magazine. My grandchildren and great-grandchildren are the joys of my life.
